Condom is easily available, economical and most effective contraceptive used by men at the time of intercourse.

Condoms are made of extremely elastic and strong material called latex.

Though available in different styles, textures and colours, condoms are generally made only in one size.

Lubricated condoms are also available which help in easier penetration.

Condom is rolled over an erect penis before inserting into the vagina, keeping the space at the tip to hold the ejaculate.

Soon after ejaculation, the condom should be gripped firmly around the base and withdrawn before the penis goes limp, to avoid chances of spilling.

The condom should be used only once and discarded.  For better safety girls may also use spermicide.

Putting on the condom at the most romantic moments may interrupt the lovemaking and lead to skipping of its use. In such cases partner’s help can be taken as part of the foreplay.

Condom offers good protection against Sexually Transmitted Diseases like HIV and infectious skin diseases.

Any exposure to heat and long storage especially in the wallet can damage the condoms.
